Centre Stage ran for the 1st time in 2019. However the team behind it are from the long running Curtains Up! holiday.
Taking the overall lead are Rachel Vallance and Em Rogerson assisted by a fantastic team of other volunteers – most also have a long history with Curtains Up!

My family have been involved in Scripture Union for many, many years, and I am so excited to have followed in their footsteps and set up a brand new Summer Camp with Em.
Having attended SU holidays for a good 13 years straight, I am so thankful for the impact it has had on my life. I look forward to passing on the good news to the next generation and seeing them meet with God on this special week.
For the other 11 months, my time is spent as a teacher of Dance and Drama. Em and I have a shared love of Shakespeare, which I try my best to pass on to my students, with varying degrees of success! My go-to fun fact gives me the opportunity to nonchalantly mention the fact that I was in the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics, and have danced on the O2 Arena and Wembley Arena stage. But whatever, no Biggie…

In 1988 when I was 13, my friend Kathy took me to my first Scripture Union Holiday and during that week I decided to follow Jesus. I’ve been to at least one per year since then and been one of the Overall Leaders at Curtains Up! since 2003.This year I’m really excited to also co-lead Centre Stage with Rachel. 🙂
The rest of the year, time is mostly filled with young people and children: my own (Amy is 13, Joe is 6) and other people’s in church and local secondary / primary schools. A selection of stuff you may or may not like to know: I love to read, do not love exams, have a degree in Theatre Studies, have been a fan of ‘Doctor Who’ since since the days of Tom Baker, went to school in a Shakespearean Manor House (and thought everybody else did too), have never flown in an aeroplane and never know what to write in things like this!
